bought a 2019 Ford F150 XLT with a 5.0 lt engine. It had 88 miles on it at time of purchase. It currently has 9600 miles on it. It has developed a knock in the engine. I have been to 2 different Ford dealers and and they have both acknowledged that the engine is knocking, but say that FORD says that the knocking is not detrimental to the health of my truck. They have stated that there is NO repair for it, per Ford Motor Co. I was told that they have had some complaints on 2018-2020 Ford F150 and Mustangs with the 5.0 engine. Has anyone else had this problem?

knocking 5.0 engine

There was a TSB about that, required you to go dealer and have system reset with software fix. Didn’t fix it, so mechanic said to live with it until it blows up and then replace it under warrant. I tried my hardest now to throw my coffee at him and cal him a dumb ass, did get the comment and 4th time here fore same issue written into report though. Well see what happens and update post.
